That's a fine way to get your files sorted out in a neat manner. But in my case, I segregate each file (credit card, mortgage, electricity, etc.) into different Manila folders, then I arrange them chronologically. For example, I've labelled a section "CC Bill 2011" for all my credit card bills this year. Having a system like that is totally helpful if you don't want to scramble whenever you need to find a certain file from the bunch.
