poking sticks in holes

I know I shouldn't – and I didn't end up doing it – but I really want to poke a stick down this spider's hole.

And this one too.

I think its my naughty inner child wanting to assert herself. Poking sticks down holes is something naughty children do, isn't it?

That is a big hole! I'd be terrified of whatever might be lurking in there! As a child my sister and I used to cover the holes up...I think that is far more naughty than poking a stick down there.

I live in Adelaide & this morning an enormous spider crawled out of a hole like that while I was weeding! I'm afraid I screamed like a girl & let my husband stomp it!!
