being in the right place at the right time
Hmm, look at that national morning show reporter about to do a live tv cross. Oh, isn't that a nice scarf she has. And, I wonder who designed the fabrics you can see in the background...
The Gods must be smiling.
I was in the right place at the right time this morning. Or rather, my vintage dressmakers dummy and a silk selvedge scarf were. The place being the Stitches and Craft Show, in the Incubator. The right time being approx 9.30am when Tracy the Melbourne reporter for Kerrie-Anne's morning show was doing a live cross to Kerrie-Anne in the Sydney studio.
The shot above (a still from the video mr greenolive took while the pros did their thing) explains it all. Of all the places at the show to set up their shoot, I lucked out. It was right outside my stand. And then the camera man decided to use my dummy and scarf as a prop for the opening of the cross. We only brought the dummy in that morning.
We didn't get to see it, but think they also did a pan across the stand. Anyway, it was great fun.
So just by chance, without any planning from me (I'm beginning to learn the value of just going with the flow and seeing what surprises are in store), my scarf, my logo and possibly my stand were seen on national tv this morning.
How fantastic! And how fortuitous.
I love the Zanzibar fabric, btw.
