Its been awhile since I've posted pictures of the street art around the Rose St Markets, but the wait is over.
Black, white and red. Such a classic colour combination. One that has been used over and over again by so many artists and designers.
When I see this colour combination I think, Russian posters, Constructivism the Russian Art Movement, El Lissitzky's typographic works, the Bauhaus, Alexey Brodovitch...(you know what's interesting, everything I've listed is Russian, except for the Bauhaus, and all are from a similar period in history).
What does black, white and red mean to you?

It's funny you ask. I have a very strong association to red/white/black. Being German that wud be the flag of the Third Reich. That's the one and only thing that comes to my mind. I'm not a nazi, but i like that combination.:)
